Soldier Pile work of Re-Route Project Jalan Yos Sudarso (RDMP)

Balikpapan, East Kalimantan – Indonesia.

A soldier pile wall was designed to protect the unstable slope from landslide possibility that may occur again on the Jalan Yos Sudarso. The road is access to the Pertamina refinery (RDMP) in Balikpapan. The concept of the design is to make a structure to protect the slip circle area using soldier pile diameter 1180 mm as a final option from the design consultant. The Soldier pile depth is 24m from the actual ground level, and the slip circle is located 12 m below. The double-wall casing was utilized for the first 15 m below the ground to protect the shaft from sliding possibility in the slip-circle area. Further drilling was done uncased, and the shaft was stabilized using polymer slurry. BAUER used 1 unit BG 28, and works were carried out on a 24-hour basis with two shifts.
